The Security Shift Leader will be responsible for supervising and coordinating security operations during their assigned shift. Your leadership, experience, and strong organizational skills will ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and guests, while also managing a team of security officers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Shift Supervision:
   - Lead and supervise security personnel during your assigned shift, ensuring that all security protocols and procedures are followed.
   - Assign duties and responsibilities to security officers, including patrol routes, access control, and monitoring tasks.
   - Provide guidance and support to security officers, including training and mentoring.

2. Security Monitoring:
   - Conduct regular patrols of the facility to monitor and deter unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and other security breaches.
   - Maintain a visible and active presence to deter potential security threats.
   - Use security surveillance equipment, such as cameras and alarms, to monitor and respond to suspicious activities.

3. Access Control:
   - Verify the identity of individuals entering the premises and ensure they have proper authorization.
   - Monitor access points, including entrances and exits, and enforce security protocols.
   - Issue visitor badges and maintain visitor logs as necessary.

4. Emergency Response:
   - Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies, including fire alarms, medical emergencies, and security breaches.
   - Implement emergency procedures and coordinate with emergency services when necessary.
   - Provide assistance and support to staff and guests during emergencies.

5. Reporting and Documentation:
   - Maintain accurate records of security incidents, activities, and observations during your shift.
   - Prepare and submit detailed incident reports, documenting security breaches, accidents, and other incidents.
   - Communicate security-related information to management and other relevant personnel.

6. Conflict Resolution:
   - Handle conflicts, disturbances, and unruly behavior calmly and professionally.
   - Use effective communication and de-escalation techniques to defuse tense situations.
   - Collaborate with law enforcement when required to address more serious incidents.

7. Safety Compliance:
   - Enforce safety regulations and policies to maintain a safe environment for all staff and guests.
   - Conduct safety inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
   - Ensure the security of sensitive information, assets, and equipment.

8. Shift Coordination:
   - Coordinate shift changes, brief incoming security officers on shift activities and priorities, and provide necessary updates.
   - Maintain continuity of security operations by ensuring smooth transitions between shifts.

9. Training and Awareness:
   - Stay informed about security trends, threats, and best practices through ongoing training and professional development.
   - Educate security staff about security procedures, policies, and emergency response protocols.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is required, with demonstrated leadership experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong observational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergencies effectively.
- Knowledge of security equipment and surveillance systems.

Working Conditions:

Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Physical demands include standing, walking, and participating in recreational activities.
