Security Officer
The Security Officer will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our premises, staff, and guests. Your vigilant and proactive approach, coupled with your excellent communication skills, will help maintain a secure environment and contribute to the overall well-being of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Security Monitoring:
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility to monitor and deter unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and other security breaches.
- Maintain a visible and active presence to deter potential security threats.
- Use security surveillance equipment, such as cameras and alarms, to monitor and respond to suspicious activities.
2. Access Control:
- Verify the identity of individuals entering the premises and ensure they have proper authorization.
- Monitor access points, including entrances and exits, and enforce security protocols.
- Issue visitor badges and maintain visitor logs as necessary.
3. Emergency Response:
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies, including fire alarms, medical emergencies, and security breaches.
- Implement emergency procedures and coordinate with emergency services when necessary.
- Provide assistance and support to staff and guests during emergencies.
4. Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of security incidents, activities, and observations.
- Prepare and submit incident reports detailing security breaches, accidents, and other incidents.
- Communicate security-related information to management and other relevant personnel.
5. Conflict Resolution:
- Handle conflicts, disturbances, and unruly behavior calmly and professionally.
- Use effective communication and de-escalation techniques to defuse tense situations.
- Collaborate with law enforcement when required to address more serious incidents.
6. Safety Compliance:
- Enforce safety regulations and policies to maintain a safe environment for all staff and guests.
- Conduct safety inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Ensure the security of sensitive information, assets, and equipment.
7. Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other security personnel and departments to ensure a coordinated approach to security.
- Provide assistance to other staff members as needed to enhance overall security and safety.
8. Training and Awareness:
- Stay informed about security trends, threats, and best practices through ongoing training and professional development.
- Educate staff and guests about security procedures and policies.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong observational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergencies effectively.
- Knowledge of security equipment and surveillance systems.
Working Conditions:
Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Physical demands include standing, walking, and participating in recreational activities.
